The Trap series was produced from research relating to common leg hold traps used to capture "pest critters." Most sellers websites recommended traps for coyotes and were surprisingly easy to purchase in bulk, apparently in competition with Amazon. 

The series of drawings and sculpture explore the mechanisms of these lethal contraptions, in the consumer-driven "enlarged to show detail". The painted shapes signify the different counties in Southern California.
