Barrier is an exploration into divisions created to separate, classify, and keep out. The chain link is an often temporary and inexpensive fixture designed for outdoor enclosures. It is a common material present in our interactions with animals. The exploited and the saved have this cage in common, and they are placed at our mercy. This piece illustrates the tactile experience of fur and galvanized wire, the collision of disparate matter. 

This piece was exhibited in a group show titled ENCOUNTER with fellow graduate students Daniela Barbani and Briana Miyoko Stanley. Dennis W. Dutzi Gallery, February 2018.
